The ECM Suites Report 2009 looks at... DocuShare's Workflow and BPM

"The DocuShare CPX workflow module is ambitious and claims to be a full BPM tool; but this is stretching it a little as it is really a human/document-centric system that does not have the EAI/Data-centric capabilities we would expect in a full BPM offering. But in fairness, the product has decent workflow. Our customers say

"As always the production quality is of the highest order, and the writing style manages to communicate the product functionalities well without requiring you to be a major in computing science. To my mind the ECM Suites Report will be the de facto reference for the foreseeable future.

Globalization and content component management

25-Apr-2007

I have a more sanguine view of the recent acquisition of Tridion by SDL than my CMS Watch colleagues. From the perspective of content component management (CCM), return on investment often comes in the area of translation. Content components facilitate translation through content reuse (write once, use many; translate once, use many), decreased cost of preparing translated content for multichannel publishing, and improved cross-channel translation (content is no longer siloed based on format such as HTML, Quark, etc.). Therefore, pairing up a CCM system with a Global Information System makes sense. For effective content globalization, components matter.
