The ECM Suites Report 2009 looks at... Docubase's Client Server-Based Approach

"Unusual for an ECM provider in 2007, Docubase retains primarily a client server-based approach to Document Management. It requires Windows NT, 2000 or XP at the client end, and typically a Windows server at the back end ..."

Online support for FileNet after all

28-Sep-2005

I recently dinged FileNet for their dearth of online developer resources. Well, sometimes user communities form in spite of vendors. FileSite.org is an informal bulletin board for FileNet users to share code, stories, problems and advice. A 24 year-old FileNet consultant in South Africa logging in as "FunkMaster" has bravely -- and capably -- taken it upon himself to answer myriad support questions on behalf of the company. There is a lesson here for the technology buyer. With each vendor you consider, seek out and assess the places where you can network with other customers, but don't be immediately dissuaded by tales of woe on bulletin boards. All software is bumpy -- the question is: how easily can you find someone to tackle your problem? The best help may well come from your peers.
