Report Excerpt

The Search & Information Access Report looks at... How Speed of Mind Works

"In lieu of the native search functionality included with the database, the Speed of Mind plug in takes over responsibility for converting the user's query into a SQL statement, processing the "hits" and ranking them for relevance, and providing additional search functionality not included in the database's native search modules. Specifically, Speed of Mind takes control in execution of the SQL that relates to relevance ranking with respect to text and numbers, while the database itself handles joins and other relational database operations as usual."
