The Web CMS Report 2009 looks at... SharePoint Licensing Costs

"Based on freely available retail pricing on Microsoft's website, we assembled three scenarios that outline pricing for a typical end-to-end, small, mid-sized and large SharePoint implementation. we assumed that the customer had to buy both server and client licenses as a part of the package; in reality, many customers will likely have server licenses. In the small enterprise scenario, we used a benchmark of 100 employees; for the mid-sized enterprise, we used 500; and for the large enterprise, we used 5,000. "

Our customers say

"The quality of the analysis and the writing is exemplary, and I cannot comprehend how any organisation contemplating a MOSS07 implementation of any scale could justify not purchasing a copy at a price somewhat less than a single day of consulting from the nearest Microsoft channel partner. Chapter 6 alone would give a return on the investment.
