Is "departmental enterprise content management" an oxymoron? We think not. In fact, much of the growth in the ECM industry is serving small- to mid-sized businesses and individual enterprise departments seeking to undertake basic document and records management. So for those customers, we've created a new (lower-cost) edition of our ECM Suites Report. The newer edition covers just 15 of the 30 vendors in the full report who provide basic document collaboration and/or records management (e.g. Microsoft, Xerox). That means it doesn't cover the traditional enterprisey products (e.g., Documentum, Open Text), so if you're considering those suppliers, you'll want the regular, enterprise edition.
