Execs at storage vendor EMC had been hinting for some time that the company was going to become a software player. Well, they accomplished it in one fell swoop by buying Documentum today. The move says more about the platform sector than the CMS industry; it was directed squarely at competing with IBM. So what will Sun do -- if anything -- buy Fatwire or Vignette?...
