"However, it's important to understand that Oracle didn't buy Stellent so that it could duke it out with pure-play WCM vendors. Oracle wants to sell you a full-blown, high-end ECM solution (and have a nice long chat with you about Fusion Middleware). Whereas previously, Stellent was happy to go head-to-head with Interwoven and Vignette on straightforward WCM deals, now the company is aggressively promoting itself as ECM infrastructure. "
